The US EXIM bank is seeking to explore more business opportunities in Ghana for US businesses as part of President Obama’s goals of increasing US exports by 2015.
A delegation from the bank was at the Castle on Tuesday to discuss further, with President Mills, their willingness to invest in the country.
EXIM bank’s Vice Chair Wanda Welton says they are not only ready to provide financial support but technical support as well.
“We can provide many provide the expertise, technical support and financial in key sectors that are important to the Ghanaian economy around power generation, agribusiness, infrastructural development, including airport and aviation and other construction. There is a lot that we can do together.”
Hope to also increase employment in the country.
President John Evans Atta Mills has described their arrival as timely.
“We welcome every opportunity…It is good that you have come at the right time when we are discussing all kinds of options.
