President Kufuor has called on both local and foreign businesses taking part in the 11th Ghana International Trade Fair, dubbed the Golden Jubilee Fair to take advantage of the event for a healthy match-making.
Small and medium scale enterprises, according to President Kufuor, are the main focus of government’s growth agenda.
He said government will support them through such events to expand.
The Minister for Trade and Industry Alan Kyeremanten was reading a speech on behalf of President Kufuor to formally open the 11th Ghana International Trade Fair on Wednesday.
The President of the Association of Ghanaian Industries Tony Oteng Gyasi who also addressed the occasion appealed to President Kufuor to expedite action on measures he promised to end the energy crisis.
Over 1,200 local and foreign businesses are taking part in the 16-day event.
