The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has postponed the round of 64 contest between Future Stars FC and Asante Kotoko SC in the FA Cup.
Originally set for Wednesday, December 3, 2025, the match has been rescheduled to Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
A GFA statement on Monday said ‘‘the adjustment comes as part of an updated fixture arrangement aimed at ensuring smooth coordination of the competition and providing optimal conditions for all participating clubs.’’
The postponement will excite Kotoko coach Karim Zito who has recently complained about their tight fixture schedule and growing list of injured players.
‘‘I saw tiredness within the boys, and this is the league we have to play. I even said the FA should look into it in future because Dreams FC passed through this and nearly went to relegation, same for Samartex.’’
‘‘Wednesday-Sunday [fixtures], we are not Europeans. They have energy, what they eat and the tablet they take, not to dope them but to give them what the body here cannot give you. Seriously, I don't think it's fair,’’ Zito said last month.
Kotoko have missed up to nine first team players through various injuries in the past month.
The Porcupine Warriors are the defending champions of the competition.
