The Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, has urged National Democratic Congress (NDC) activists seeking district chief executive appointment to remain loyal to the Party, even if they did not succeed.
Mr Ato Forson said since only one person could hold the position at a time it was obvious that not all those vying for the post would be chosen.
Addressing a group of aspirants during their vetting in Cape Coast, Mr Forson appealed to them to remain united, keeping in mind that the Party was greater than their personal ambition.
“You must remember that the opportunity came to you to apply for the post because your party is in power,” he said and cautioned them against indulging in acts which could jeopardise the NDC’s fortunes in future elections.
Mr. Kobina Quansah, Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam constituency chairman of the NDC, warned that his leadership would not hesitate to impose sanctions on any member who might try to cause trouble within the ranks and files.
