Ghanaian artiste Ama Nova is unhappy with Fameye over claims of an unfulfilled agreement.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim, Nova expressed her disappointment over Fameye's failure to promote their collaborative song on his social media platforms even after paying him for it.
Nova revealed that the initial agreement included Fameye sharing her artworks to show support for the song's release. However, Fameye failed to post about the song.
“Based on the initial agreement, it would have been nice if he shared my artworks so that it would look like you’re in support of the release.
I've had a lot of people DM me, saying they had gone to Fameye's page and didn't see him post about the song. It's hard for me, and it's heartbreaking," Nova said.
She also expressed frustration over the delayed release of the song. The song was initially planned for release October last year but it had to be released about two weeks ago.
The singer said both parties agreed on an amount of money to be paid to Fameye so he posts about the song on social media and also avails himself for the video but attempts to reach him later to fulfil his part of the bargain proved unsuccessful.
“We agreed on an amount that includes a music video, paid the said amount.
There was no written contract but there are conversations and WhatsApp chats that show that this transaction went on. There is a receipt that shows that the money was paid," she said.
Ama Nova further explained that she has a voice note of Fameye saying that if they could pay him a certain amount of money, he would shoot content with her.
"He even said he would be coming to New York, so we shoot the video and he would even shoot content with me," she recounted.
She reiterated that it has been difficult getting Fameye to shoot the video.
"Since I got to Ghana, I have been trying to get a meeting with his team. Every time I called they said they were busy and were on the road. Keep trying, maybe one day you will get the opportunity to meet up with us for the meeting," she said.
She said Fameye's manager told her the musician wanted to support her music but could not mix other contents with his current music project, so she should postpone the release of her song till Fameye was ready.
"Now the song is out, and not even a post on Fameye's page," Nova lamented.
The song in question, 'Odo Different', featuring Fameye, has officially been released.
