A 37-year-old farmer, Akwasi Bio last Saturday, reportedly stabbed his friend Kwasi Obeng also 37, to death at Atobiase near New Edubiase in Adansi South District.
The police have confirmed the incident and said a search for the arrest of Bio has been mounted.
An eye-witness told the GNA that Obeng met Bio in town and asked him (Bio) why many people had been calling her daughter, Obaa Mary on phone.
He said this assertion, resulted in a quarrel between them and Bio pulled out a knife and stabbed Obeng on the chest and fled into the bush.
The eye-witness said Obeng was rushed to New Edubiase District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival and a report was made to the police.
The corpse has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.Source: GNA
