Farmers in Dormaa municipality have expressed profound gratitude to President Kufuor for nominating Mr Atta Amponsah as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Dormaa Municipal Assembly.
Speaking on behalf of the farmers in an interaction with the Ghana News Agency at Asukasu No 1 near Dormaa Ahenkro, Nana David Oppong, Municipal Chief Farmer, described the nomination as “another Presidential honour bestowed on the people of the area, who must reciprocate with support and cooperation”.
Nana Oppong explained that the nominee had all the qualities and values needed to stand up to the challenges of the position.
He noted that Mr Amponsah, a strong New Patriotic Party activist and one time constituency chairman, was well versed in the party’s manifesto and therefore a good material for the job.
Nana Oppong on behalf of the farmers in the municipality appealed to Assembly Members in the area to endorse Mr Amponsah’s nomination without hesitation.Source: GNA
