The body of the late Madam Fathia Nkrumah, former First Lady and widow of Ghana's founding president, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, has been flown to Accra from Egypt, aboard an Egypt Air flight.
The remains of the late First Lady was accompanied by two of her children, Gamel and Samia.
At the airport to witness the occasion were ministers of state, Professor Francis Nkrumah, eldest son of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, a delegation of the Convention People's Party (CPP), supporters as well as family members and friends of the late First Lady.
Madam Fathia Nkrumah died while on admission at a hospital in Egypt.
