FBNBank Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of First Bank of Nigeria Limited has been adjudged the “Fastest Growing Banking Brand” of the Year at the 9th Marketing World Awards held in Accra.
Its parent company, First Bank of Nigeria Limited which has for the past 125 years been providing enduring banking services emerged as the “Most Iconic Banking Brand”.
Receiving the Fastest Growing Banking Brand award, FBNBank Ghana, Country Team Lead for Marketing and Corporate Communications, Enoch Vanderpuye underscored the importance of the award to the bank and expressed gratitude to the organizers of the awards.
He said “this award means a lot to us and it is a testament of our continuous efforts to build and endear the FBNBank brand to our stakeholders in our quest to make it a clear leader and Ghana’s bank of first choice” he stated.
“This recognition will further inspire us to be more purposeful in working to deliver on the bank’s vision of establishing FBNBank as a clear leader and Ghana’s bank of first choice” he added.
The Global Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications at First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Folake Ani-Mumuney who received the Most Iconic Banking Brand of the Year Award for FBNBank’s parent bank said this award could not have come at a better time than in the year that the First Bank Group is commemorating its 125th anniversary.
Folake was appreciative of the organizers and mentioned that the FBNBank brand has been deliberately purposeful in striving to provide the best financial solutions to its stakeholders. She added that First Bank Group, which has been a trade hub that has grown economies for over 125 years across Africa, Europe and China has a vision to be a leading financial services group in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Global Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications at First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Folake Ani-Mumuney, who has worked tirelessly and passionately to grow brands in the aviation, manufacturing and in the financial services space was presented with the “2019 Marketing World Lifetime Achievement” Award.
Mrs. Ani-Mumuney said these awards conferred on her, FirstBank and FirstBank’s subsidiary in Ghana show that the Group is doing something right and will certainly continue on that path.
The Marketing World Awards is a Pan African awards event conceptualized to celebrate and reward brands and individuals who have worked and excelled at their craft.
The awards are organized by Instinct Wave, a specialist emerging market media and publishing company.
