A female tractor operator with Miro Forestry, Agnes Addae Eninful, has advised women to consider venturing into male-dominated fields.
Agnes, 36, who was trained by GIZ in a project dubbed, ATVET for Women has been operating a tractor for the last four years.
Speaking to Joy Business on International Women's Day, the celebrated mother of three, noted that "what men can do, women can do better."
She, therefore, said: "I will advise women to take this challenge upon themselves and do things men do."
According to her, the myth of women not being able to have children when they are engaged in heavy-duty, is false. She noted that it is a negative perception that could derail the growth of women.
"It is never true that when you do men's work you can't give birth or there are other opportunities you'll not get. It is never true. It is negative thoughts some of them have got, so I advise they shouldn't listen to negativity," she said.
