Africa is rising as a hub for cinematic and theatre technology, says Prince Kojo-Hilton, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Film Craft Expo (FCE), as he rallies industry players and stakeholders to invest in talents that are redefining the industry.
During the media launch of the Film Craft Expo 2025 on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Accra, he urged filmmakers to go beyond the frame and transform the craft of storytelling into a powerful force for culture, business, and innovation.
The main event, scheduled on 8th to 11th October 2025, will bring together filmmakers, crew members, industry leaders, cultural stakeholders, and global voices under one roof.
Since 2023, the Film Craft Expo has stood as Ghana's premier film production exhibition, a platform where the unsung heroes of film come into the spotlight, including art directors, set designers, cinematographers, and crew leaders to celebrate the process.
The expo provides a perfect opportunity for filmmakers, actors, directors, producers, and other professionals to exchange ideas, build connections, and collaborate on potential projects.
With a lineup of various workshops, film screenings, and panel discussions, the Expo serves as an ideal platform to shape the future, influence global narratives, and promote trade relations within the film industry, both domestically and internationally.

From screenplay writing to costume design, and from advanced cinematography techniques to the latest editing software, every aspect of filmmaking is explored and celebrated at this vibrant event.
By bringing together investors, production houses, distributors, and other stakeholders, this trade expo aims to facilitate collaboration and foster an environment conducive to the growth of the local film industry.
In addition to promoting trade and showcasing artistic excellence, the Film Craft Expo also focuses on the technological advancements driving the film industry forward.
From the latest cameras and equipment to cutting-edge special effects technologies, the expo introduces filmmakers to the tools that can enhance their storytelling capabilities.
The Expo will celebrate existing talent and craftsmanship, serve as a bridge between technological advancements and creative vision, empower filmmakers to push the boundaries of their art, and lay the groundwork for its future growth and excellence.

As the curtains rise on the Film Craft Expo, the world of cinematic storytelling in Ghana and Africa as a whole is set to experience a new era of artistic brilliance and technological innovation.
This initiative not only nurtures the dreams and aspirations of local filmmakers but also paves the way for Africa to become a formidable force in the global film industry.
"Expect thought-provoking panel discussions, masterclasses, networking opportunities, exhibitions, screenings, and the prestigious Film Craft Awards — where we spotlight the brilliance of the behind-the-scenes craftsmanship that powers cinema and theatre" Prince Kojo-Hilton noted.
The CEO of the Film Craft Expo expressed gratitude to the National Commission on Culture, the Black Star Experience, and the Hilwood Studio. Your support has been the backbone of this vision.
