Fire is reported to have gutted the Spintex Road branch of the Agricultural Development Bank, ADB.
The source of the fire is yet to be identified, but staff claim they followed up on a foul smell from one of the offices where they noticed thick fumes and later fire apparently from an electric socket.
The incident occurred just about 4:00pm when the bank was about closing, and some staff who spoke to Joy News said they tried reaching the fire service for help early on but were successful only after many attempts.
