A devastating fire has swept through structures in Tantra Hill, a suburb of Accra.
It destroyed over 50 shops in the Spot M area.
The inferno, which broke out at dawn on Saturday, has left residents in shock and counting their losses.
The fire reportedly started around 2:00 AM, according to eyewitnesses. The witness lamented that approximately 50 wooden and container structures, along with their contents, were completely consumed by the flames.
The affected shops, which housed various goods and small businesses, were reduced to ashes, leaving traders in despair.
In an amateur video circulating on social media, frantic residents can be heard calling the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) for urgent assistance.
