First Lady, Lordina Dramani Mahama, has started a one-week tour of the Brong Ahafo Region to campaign for her husband, President John Dramani Mahama.
Mrs. Mahama who is accompanied by officials of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) first paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Sunyani, Nana Bosoma Aso Nkrowiri II, at his palace.
The First Lady’s campaign is concentrating on various women groups and will take her to a number of constituencies in the Region.
On Tuesday, she spent the day in the Nkoranza area and paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Nkoranza.
She has accepted an invitation to be the Special Guest of Honour at a grand durbar to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the enstoolment of the Omanhene of Nkoranza this weekend.
A native of Nkoranza in the Brong Ahafo region, Mrs. Mahama was welcomed to the region by a large number of NDC party faithful.
Her husband, President Mahama, has meanwhile completed his campaign tour of the Western Region.
