Five government departments are expected to appear before the Judgement Debt Commission on Tuesday, January 15 and Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Old Parliament House.
A statement issued by the Commission’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. George William Dove, to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Monday, identified the departments as the Auditor General’s Department, the Solicitor General’s Department, Controller and Accountant General’s Department, Lands Commission and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.
The departments which had earlier appeared at the Commission’s previous sittings, would be expected to provide additional information.
The statement urged all those who intended to testify or volunteer information to the Commission but were unable to be present in person to submit memoranda to the Commission.
“Members of the public who also wish to testify or volunteer information are first to report at the Commission’s office to give their statement to enable the Commission to schedule a date for them to give evidence”, the statement said.
It assured the public that all such memoranda would be treated confidentially.
The Commission reminded the general public that Public Sittings will start at 10.00 a.m. each day.
