The founder of the Centre for Legal Advocacy Research Education and Training(CIARIT), Jennifer Owusu has encouraged head porters to be focused on their vision and dreams for the future while working hard to achieve those dreams.
She made those remarks when the CIARIT Foundation visited the Dome market to spend time with the head porters and gift things to them as part of the new year festivities.
Speaking in an interview on JoyNews, on Wednesday, Jennifer Owusu said that "I advised them to stay on course. Some of them have the intention of learning a trade, some have the intention of expanding the kayayei business."
"Everybody should focus on what they aim for and continue to work hard and continue to focus on their goals. With the help of God and their dedication, they will be able to achieve it.”
She further added that the Foundation will continue to give any support they have to them to help these head porters to achieve their dreams.
The Foundation gifted them items which include CIARIT branded headpans, lunch, beverages and slippers.
