Ex- Deputy Minister of information under the Kufuor administration has described as fruitful discussion between him and the Bureau of National Investigations.Mr. Frank Agyakum was invited to answer questions pertaining to the award of contract for the renovation of offices within his ministry. He told Joy News after his encounter “I have now seen they are not men in hooded mask who just wanted to grab you and put you to jail.”“The questions were incisive. The interviewer wanted to know a lot of things and I believe and hope I gave them the answers they need.”He said officials of the BNI notified him of subsequent meetings if the need arises. His invitation and questioning has been less dramatic compared to that of the ex-chief of staff Kwadwo Mpiani who was invited by the same institution. An army of ex-government officials besieged the offices of the BNI demanding the whereabouts of Mr. Mpiani after hints dropped that he had been “smuggled” out of the office.Story by Nathan Gadugah/Myjoyonline.com
