The National Labour Commission says it is stepping up its educational campaign on the Labour Act to protect employees from exploitation.The decision comes in the wake of worker agitation at Blue Skies, a fruit juice producing company and others working with Free Zones companies who say they were being prevented from unionizing by their employers.But the National Labour Commission in a statement said workers employed under the Free Zone enclave had the right to form and belong to associations.In an interview with Joy Business Report, the Head of Public Affairs at the NLC, Mohammed Affum explained that apart from the security and intelligence agencies, all employees were enjoined by the Labour Law to unionize.
