Prices of the various products at the pumps have hiked slight since Tuesday.
Petrol has witnessed about 6 percent increase, while diesel increased by 3 percent hike per liter.
Since June this year when Oil Marketing Companies started announcing their ex-pump prices for petroleum products, hikes in the prices of petroleum products have been rare.
Oil Marketing companies say the recent increase in the price of petroleum products has been influenced by increment the price of crude oil on world market.
Only Liquefied Petroleum Gas has seen a 2 percent drop in price.
