We shall deliver
The spirit of the founders of the party continues to live in us who have taken on the mantle of leadership. Forward ever backwards never.
Today has been a decisive day but before we start celebrating, let us thank all the officials who made the day possible
Let us thank the electoral commissioner for the new way that they have overseen this new way of conducting our elections.
Let us thank the Police who have played an instrumental part in ensuring the peaceful conduct of the election.
Let me thank the Council of elders and their officiating committee for making this election possible at all.
My thanks to the other candidates who took their forms and who campaigned vigorously in this keenly fought contest.
And my personal thanks to all of you members of the CPP who yet again have reposed their confidence in me as their flagbearer.
Thank you again and again and again!
To the elected representatives of the party, I hope that we will all see the urgency of the situation in Ghana and that we shall all unite for the sake of the party and the wider course of our country.
Ghana needs the CPP desperately.
Our country needs a progressive government that will deliver for all the people of ghana.
Everywhere that I have gone on the campaign trail all that I get told is where is the CPP that will deliver for the people of Ghana?
Today I give you my pledge that the CPP will deliver for the people.
We will deliver the social justice that will make this country a better and more equal place with opportunity for all.
We shall implement the self-reliance that this country has been crying out for.
We will continue to work towards the African unity that our founding fathers saw as the only way that independent African countries could develop.
Our people need good health – the CPP will deliver
Our young people need good education – the CPP will deliver
Our people need good housing – the CPP will deliver
Our people need a living wage that leaves some money in the pockets at the end of the long month – the CPP will deliver
The CPP will deliver because our country is a rich country, our country is endowed with all the raw materials BUT, successive governments after the first republic have lacked the resourcefulness, the strategies and the vision to transform these into the sustainable wealth.
Greenstreet has that vision to take Ghana and Africa into the next steps of the fourth industrial revolution, to leapfrog us into a future industrialised first world nation where the people will forge forward in a new spirit of work with happiness.
Today is not the day for making promises. Today is the day for action – the day when the campaign for government starts
Forward into victory
Forward ever, backwards never
