The Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club (GAFOSC) is enjoying a remarkable campaign in the University of Ghana Corporate Football League, emerging as one of the standout teams of the season.
With six wins from seven matches, GAFOSC sits second in Group A with 19 points, just two adrift of table-toppers Union Ghana. Both teams have already secured qualification to the semi-finals, but their upcoming clash will determine who finishes top of the group.
Key to GAFOSC’s impressive run has been their defensive solidity. The team has conceded just once all season—the best defensive record in the group—while also maintaining attacking threat, netting 17 goals, just one fewer than Union Ghana.
From the opening match, GAFOSC have displayed discipline, cohesion, and a clear sense of purpose.
Their ability to remain organised and grind out results has made them one of the most consistent sides in the competition. The understanding among players on the pitch speaks to a well-coached and unified squad.
Friday’s final group fixture against Union Ghana promises to be a blockbuster, with both sides aiming to finish on top. Regardless of the result, GAFOSC’s campaign has been a major talking point and a testament to their competitive edge.
The University of Ghana Corporate Football League is organised by the University of Ghana Sports and Wellness Directorate in partnership with RITE Sports Services.
It is supported by Glico General Insurance, Viggo Energy, Socaloca, and the Ghana Football Association.
Kick-off is at 5pm on Friday, 20 June 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium.
