The continent’s soccer controlling body, Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Gambian match officials to handle this weekend’s Confederation Cup match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Jeunnesse Sportif Kabylie of Algeria scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
Thirty-four year old John Mendy will direct affairs from the middle.
Information gathered by GNA Sports in Accra on Tuesday has it that Jawo Dickory, 36, and Touray Sulayman, 36 will assist their compatriot on the lines.
Gassama Bakary will act as the fourth official while Nigerian Austin Akosa acts as the Match Commissioner.
It will be the second visit for the veteran Nigerian football administrator to the country after the Black Starlets-Junior Greens of Libya first round first leg clash in Accra a fortnight ago.
Kotoko has three points from two games and need a convincing win badly to remain on course for a final berth in the competition.
The three other clubs in Group B include Al Merrikh of Sudan, Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia and JSK of Algeria with each of them having three points from the same number of games.
