Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel ‘’Game Boy’’ Tagoe will battle Argentina’s Fernando Saucedo for the vacant IBO lightweight belt in Accra later next month.
Tagoe currently holds the WBA International Lightweight belt – a title he won in 2015 when he outpointed Filipino De los Reyes.
He currently ranked WBA number 9 and IBO number 17, having lost one of 27 professional bouts. Tagoe has 13 knockouts and has won his last six.
The is a huge opportunity for Tagoe to give the country a World title after compatriot Richard Commey failed last September in Pennsylvania, when he lost by a disputed split decision against Robert Easter Jr.
And Tagoe’s promoters, the Baby Promotions want to ensure the dream of holding a World title becomes a reality.
‘’I know Game boy will not let this chance slip through his hands, He has come a long way.’’
‘’He is not going to lose guard and I know he will make Ghana proud. He’s prepared well, his condition is perfect.. so let us hope for the best for him[Tagoe]’’
The fight will come off on November 25 but venue is unknown.
