Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) has opened more branches in the country, bringing the total number to 135 and 10 agencies, the Bank said on Tuesday.
A statement signed by Mr. J.K.A. Duncan, Senior Manager, said GCB remained the largest bank with presence in almost all the districts in the country.
Mr. Duncan said the Ho Market Branch in the Ho municipality of the Volta Region opened on September 4 while the Elubo Branch (GCNet) in the Nzema West District of the Western Region is also serving the public.
He said the Kasoa Branch in the Ewutu-Efutu Senya District of the Central Region was almost ready. All the branches are networked and linked to its network platform.
"Apart from over-the-counter transactions, customers and non-customers can also use the GCB Xpress Money Transfer to move funds across the country-online since funds can be transferred at one branch of the bank and collected at another branch," he said.
Mr. Duncan said the opening of the new branches was within GCB's policy of making banking services more accessible and convenient to Ghanaians.
"It is also a fulfilment of the Bank's promise to relocate or reconfigure to improve access and convenience for its valued customers as well as to respond to new business opportunities and extend banking services to targeted customers at new locations," he said.Source: GNA
