The Nsawam Circuit Court has declared that Abusuapanyin George Asah Bekoe, the Head of family for the Asare Kofi Asona Mensah family, is the rightful person to alienate the family lands situate at Odomase, Kwadwo Fosu, Warabeba and Okanta near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
The Court has also restrained Samuel Adi Afari and Mary Bampoe and their assigns, agents, from alienating portions of the family lands and any further dealings with the land without the consent and concurrence of the head of family George Asah Bekoe.
Lawyer for Nana Asare Kofi Asona Mensah's family of Akropong Akwapim has further served Notice to the General Public that all transactions relating to the alienation of lands situate at Odomase, Kwadwo Fosu, Warabeba and Okanta near Nsawam in the Eastern Region should be done through the Head of Family George Asah Bekoe and the principal elders of Nana Asare Kofi Asona Mensah family.

He said following the ruling of the Nsawam Circuit Court in the matter of George Asah Bekoe v Kwasi Prince & 3 others and further judgement in the case of George Asah Bekoe & Another v Samuel Adi Afari and Another, the only rightful person in law to deal with the lands in Odomase, Kwadwo Fosu, Warabeba and Okanta near Nsawam is the Head of Nana Asare Kofi Asona Mensah family in the person of George Asah Bekoe and the principal elders.

The Nana Asare Kofi Asona Mensah family is also urging anyone who has purchased lands situate at Odomase, Kwadwo Fosu Warabeba and Okanta without the consent and concurrence of the head of family and his principal elders to take the necessary steps to validate same or that transaction would be deemed void.
