Twenty-two year old Georgina Nudzikpo was the revelation at this year's inter-school athletics competition of Takoradi Polytechnic, bagging gold in five track events to be crowned the overall best athlete. Georgina beat a field of other competitors to grab gold in 400, 800, 1500, and 3000 meters respectively, as well as the 400 x 100 relay event. Aside emerging the best female athlete, Georgina was also honoured as the overall best athlete of the year, with a trophy presented to her by Rev. Prof. Daniel Adjepong Nyarko, Rector of the Polytechnic.
