Twenty-two year old Georgina Nudzikpo was the revelation at this year's inter-school athletics competition of Takoradi Polytechnic, bagging gold in five track events to be crowned the overall best athlete.
Georgina beat a field of other competitors to grab gold in 400, 800, 1500, and 3000 meters respectively, as well as the 400 x 100 relay event.
Aside emerging the best female athlete, Georgina was also honoured as the overall best athlete of the year, with a trophy presented to her by Rev. Prof. Daniel Adjepong Nyarko, Rector of the Polytechnic.
In the photograph below, Georgina is pictured receiving one of her awards from Mr Kenneth Boateng, Secretary of the Polytechnic Sports Commiitee.
