The Ghana League Clubs Association are making plans of including two foreign clubs to compete with two domestic clubs for this year’s President Cup.
The President’s Cup which is played annually to honour the sitting President of the Republic of Ghana on July 1 over the years has seen two dominant local clubs partake in the one day cup competition.
The current GHALCA administration led by Alhaji Raji in rebranding the various local competitions wants a different approach to the competition this year.
''GHALCA in collaboration with Global Media Alliance decided that we need to bring a bit of renovation in the products that we have,'' said Albert Commey who is the communications director of GHALCA.
"We want to give the President Cup an international twist, we need competition that will bring some kind of happiness in the heart of the sporting public.
"We are closing in on some international clubs and then we will add two Ghanaian clubs making four."
