The Chief Executives Network Ghana, organisers of Ghana CEO Summit, have acknowledged the measures announced by President Akufo-Addo to help curtail the spread of coronavirus.
"As an organisation that is committed to the wellbeing of citizens, we fully support all efforts and interventions by the World Health Organization, government and other stakeholders to ensure that we overcome the challenge that this virus poses," it said in a statement.
To support the fight the Ghana CEO Summit is rolling out a campaign dubbed 'CEO COVID-19: Stop the spread' by leading boldly.
Using the hashtags #CEOLeadBoldly and #CEOStopTheSpread, a coalition of over 200 CEOs and leaders is asking fellow business and civic leaders in Ghana to lead boldly and help stop the spread.
"We urge all to continue to stay safe by enforcing the recommended protocols for stopping the spread of the virus.
" Wash hands with soap under running water often, minimise or avoid physical contact, maintain a distance of at least one meter when interacting with others, stay away from crowded places and sanitize your hands as often as possible," the Network said.
The Network said it will continue to keep track of developments while it continues to prepare towards the 5th Ghana CEO Summit, which is scheduled to be held on May 18 and 19, at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.
"In due course, if the situation requires that we reschedule the Summit in the interest of public health, we shall not hesitate to do that," it said.
The Ghana CEO Summit is the foremost business conference in Ghana for CEOs, Heads of State, Policy Makers, Investors & Business Leaders.
It is committed to unlocking Ghana’s economic potential by championing private-sector-led growth, leading discussions around innovative public policies and best growth-oriented business practices.
