Ghana Digital Centres Limited (GDCL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology and Innovations, has successfully hosted a one-day Tech Startup Workshop at the Accra Digital Centre.
The workshop, themed "Identifying Challenges, Building Data, Empowering Startups," brought together over 80 participants, including startup founders, ecosystem enablers, investors, policymakers, and academic partners.

The workshop aimed to strengthen Ghana's digital innovation ecosystem by engaging directly with startups to understand their challenges, collect real-time data, and co-create targeted support strategies.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of GDCL, Dzifa Gunu, "Startups are not only building businesses, they are building Ghana's digital future."

Diaspora African Forum (DAF) Ambassador, Erieka Bennette emphasised the need for support for Ghanaian innovators, stating, "Ghanaian innovators require targeted support to unlock their full potential and drive the country's digital economy forward."

The workshop featured dynamic sessions, including startup showcases, hands-on onboarding exercises for the national startup database, and roundtable discussions on funding, mentorship, and policy reforms. Insights gathered will inform ongoing efforts to expand regional innovation centres and develop a unified national startup support framework.
