Ghana will not be represented at this year's Africa U17 Cup of Nations following the Black Starlets group stage exit at the WAFU Zone B championship.
Black Starlets were eliminated on Tuesday after losing 3-1 to Ivory Coast in their final group game.
After drawing their opening game 1-1 against Nigeria, Black Starlets needed to beat Ivory Coast to reach the semi-finals.
However, they were no match for the Ivorians. Abdramane Konate, Charles Miezan and Cedric Don got the goals for Ivory Coast with John Batigi scoring for Ghana.
The defeat means Black Starlets miss out on a ticket to Morocco. Reaching the final of WAFU championship would have been enough to secure them qualification.
It is the second straight time that Black Starlets have failed to qualify for the tournament after missing out on the 2019 edition.
