Ghana remain the 24th best football team in the world in the latest Fifa ranking released Thursday.
The 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists are still second best in Africa behind neighbours Ivory Coast. Algeria followed in that order but Egypt toppled Nigeria for the fourth spot on the continental ranking table with Cape Verde coming fifth.
Spain continue to seize the top spot followed by Germany and Argentina in that order.
The Africa ranking will see major changes in the February edition of the Fifa Ranking due to the ongoing Caf African Nations Championship in South Africa.
