The Ghana Football Association has confirmed requesting to play the Cranes of Uganda in an international friendly ahead of the Black Stars next 2010 World Cup qualifier against Mali.
Although a date and details of the friendly are yet to be stitched up, it is believed it will be played in Accra weeks after the European season ends in May.
''We are still discussing certain issues, but we are heading in the right direction with our counterparts in Accra," Federation of Uganda Football Associations Chief Exective Edgar Watson told the Daily Monitor.
The Black Stars have a double header in June by playing the Hawks of Mali on 07 June in Bamako before Sudan three days later in Omdurman.
"It is a bit difficult but I think it would be between now and 07 June when we play against Mali," GFA spokesperson Randy Abbey told Ghanasoccernet.com
"There is no international break before 07 June but we are looking at when the European league would go on break, which is around the last week of May."
Uganda beat Ghana's Group opponents Sudan 0-2 in Kharthoum last month and they expected to provide the Black Stars the needed tricks to survive.
The Cranes were also in the same Group with Benin during the previous qualifying round.
