Ghana’s World Cup team has checked out of their hotel base in Pretoria citing poor facilities, four days to their Group D opener against Serbia.
The Ghana Football Association was forced to find an alternative after players en bloc complained bitterly about services provided by Roode Vallei Lodge Hotel in Pretoria.
The team has now checked in at the Sun City Hotel in Rustenburg.
This development has affected the team’s training plans for today which was going to be opened to the Black Stars fans after two closed-door sessions.
The Ghana FA had earlier decided to camp in Nelspruit but some officials at the ministry of sports arranged for Roode Vallei, claiming it had the best facilities.
But the FA in statement explained their decision to switch is as a result of “unresolved technical issues.”
Ghana’s Group D opponents Serbia complained about the poor state of their training pitch and had it changed by the local organizing committee.
