It is very sad that our nation and motherland Ghana is going through this period of crisis. Today, Ghana is 56 years old and what do we have to show for as accomplishment for our nation. I am not a pessimist, I always try to look at the wrong things and figure out what can come out of the negativity. As the countdown draws closer to the Judges decision, I think and I'm sure all Ghanaians are seriously praying for something good to come out of this decision.I for one, I am very happy it has to happen this way, even though we have wasted the tax payers money and the time for the Judiciary to focus on other important issues, they have spent all the time dealing with this electoral issue. I believe we as Ghanaians want TRANSPARENCY in our country; therefore, this issue has brought about the transparency we have been seeking for so long. I believe it is also a good thing that will make and bring about changes the next time there is an election.The electorate, the people or the political parties will realize that no one can cheat on elections and go scot free. If NPP has brought this issue to light, then I think the next time there is an election, they will also uphold to any political party or person’s request to declare the winning null and void, should there be any discrepancies.But it should not be a routine that because NPP has petitioned the Judiciary therefore, the NDC or any other political party must do the same thing, even if it is not the case.If we are looking forward to work in democracy, I believe when the declaration is made, all parties must abide by the decision of the Supreme Court and let the country move on into the future. It is sad that people are predicting the outcome and some people are heaping insults on them. I think it is very good for all Ghanaians home and abroad to use this time to pray for peace to prevail.God has blessed us so much that we don’t have to use this time to bring shame on the Lord, as Ghana has been a pacesetter in the region of Africa against war. Ghanaians are for peace and not for war. In the name of peace let us abide and depend on God to touch our hearts. This also goes to our political leaders, whether you win or don’t win, please don’t heap insults or curses on your opponents, rather thank God for the other party and pray for God’s wisdom to guide and lead our nation. The insults some political gurus and some influential persons in the country swear and throw on the air waves and in the media is a disgrace and I think it is time we allow maturity and respect rule for once, so that our children will learn from us, because these Children are our future.The big question is “DO WE WANT OUR CHILDREN TO LEARN FROM OUR LEADERS AND ELDERS' GOOD WAY OR DO WE WANT THEM TO LEARN ABOUT THEIR NEGATIVE ATTITUDE” ?I hope and pray that the Good Lord will allow good rain to fall on Ghana. PLEASE LET PEACE PREVAIL.
