The British Broadcasting Corporation has confirmed its appointment of Ghanaian Human Resource (HR) expert Irene Asare as its HR Director.
Her appointment earns her a seat on the BBC News board.
Reacting to the news on her Twitter account, the HR expert said, “I am so excited and feel proud to join @BBCNews !”
She described her appointment as “an honour and a great opportunity to lead the HR team.”

Irene Asare has years-long experience in the HR field, which has seen her offer her skills in multinational institutions globally, including Vodafone, Tullow Oil, and Standard Bank Group.
