Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Kofi Boansi is celebrating his first silverware in Europe after FC Dila Gori clinched the 2025 Georgian Super Cup title.
The 18-year-old was part of the squad as Dila Gori defeated Spaeri 2-0 on Wednesday night at the Davit Petriashvili Stadium.
Goals from Brazilian forward João Victor de Araujo Costa in the 86th minute and Georgia international Grigol Chabradze in stoppage time secured the club’s first-ever Super Cup triumph.
While Boansi did not feature in the final, he made a notable contribution earlier in the competition. He registered an assist in the semifinal victory over Saburtalo late last month — his only appearance since joining the club.
The talented attacker signed for Dila Gori in March and is considered one of the club’s bright young prospects. His involvement in the lead-up to the Super Cup success is being viewed as a positive step in his European journey.
Wednesday’s victory marks a historic achievement for Dila Gori and a promising milestone for Boansi as he continues his development in the Georgian top flight.
