Ghanaians have been deliberating over former President John Dramani Mahama's reluctance to commit to building a new stadium when elected in the upcoming elections.
The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress told reporters over the weekend he cannot promise a new stadium under the current economic crisis, as Ghana's sports infrastructure remains in distress.
In an interaction with journalists Sunday night, Mahama was asked how he intended to address that problem if voted into power in December's General Elections.
"In the current crisis in which we are, I would not stand here and promise that we will build a new stadium," he said.
His comments have led to divided opinions among Ghanaians.
Joy Sports spoke to some Ghanaians on the back of Mahama's comments and this is what they had to say:
