President Akufo-Addo has announced that 542 more people in the country have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
This brings the number of confirmed cases to 11,964 with 4,258 recoveries.
The total number of active cases currently stands at 7,652 with three more people losing their lives.
The president during his 11th address to the nation on measures his administration is taking to fight Covid-19 said 13 people are critically ill while three others are on ventilators.
He added that it is important to follow through the efforts made to control the spread of the virus adding that people should adhere to the health protocols.
"This is how we can prevent our health care services and our heroic health care workers from being overwhelmed due to an increase in demand for hospital," President Akufo-Addo stated.
He also urged people to not stigmatise recovered patients, adding that the stigma undermines the fight against the virus.
"Our survival is in our own hands. If we are lax and inattentive, we will continue to have serious challenges with the virus. If we are mindful and self-disciplined, we have it in us to defeat this pandemic, and help return our lives to normalcy. I appeal to each and every one of you for your help in this regard."
