The founder and leader of Prayer Palace International says Ghanaians should cut down on expenses as the current economic crisis that the world faces will not end anytime soon.
Prophet Emmanuel Adjei speaking on Joy FM’s Christian talk show 'A Walk with Jesus' said God revealed to him the current economic situation and how it will be worse in the coming year.
The situation he said is set to get better in 2024.
When asked whether the similarities in the calendars of the year 1982 and the year 2022 are a coincidence or whether they have some spiritual connotation, he said, “the similarities are not a coincidence but rather a cycle which repeats itself after every forty years”.
He made references to how the second world war which started in 1939 and ended in 1945 brought about great economic hardship all over the world leading to an economic recession.
Prophet Emmanuel Adjei also mentioned how 40 years later, Ghana experienced similar economic hardship that began in 1982 and heightened in 1983.
Addressing the question of what the church should do, he stated that “the nation’s hope is the church since all technical and expert advice has failed”.
He called on all churches to put away their doctrinal differences and in unity seek God in prayer.
Prophet Emmanuel Adjei gave examples from the bible of how similar and even worse situations have been solved through the intervention of prayers said by God’s people.
He used the opportunity to encourage the clergy to continue to use the pulpit to inspire hope since it is the only thing keeping the nation together.
