Ghana International Airlines (GIA) has joined group corporate bodies sponsoring the 32nd Onetouch-SWAG Awards Night this year.
As part of its contribution to the event, the Airline will provide two business class return tickets to the Association for two foreign guests scheduled to grace the event.
Frank Maloney, an astute boxing promoter and Kelly Oyebola, a brother of the late James Oyebola, former heavyweight boxer are scheduled to grace the occasion as special guests on the historic night.
Kelly Oyebola takes the place of his brother who died through gun shot wounds last month in London.
Samuel Osarfo, Marketing Manager of GIA said the gesture is part of the company's contribution to the development of sports in the country.
He said the company is looking forward to a more fruitful relationship with the Association in the future.
Mr Ackah Anthony, President of SWAG expressed appreciation to the company for their contribution and efforts to make the event a success and called on other corporate bodies to emulate the goodwill and lend their support the event.
He described the event as a national one, which is also aimed at promoting sporting excellence, hence the need to give it the necessary boost.
The event is scheduled for the Banquet Hall, State House on Saturday, September 1 with the President, Agyekum Kufuor as the Special Guest of Honour.Source: GNA
