Dr Gideon Boako, the Parliamentary Candidate for the Tano North Constituency and Spokesperson to the Vice President has made a significant contribution to education in the Ahafo Region by donating 2,000 dual desks to the Tano North Municipal Education Directorate which aims at enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in the area.
This donation forms part of Dr Boako's broader vision to uplift the educational standards in Tano North, ensuring that every child has access to quality education and the necessary tools to succeed.
Speaking at a brief ceremony in Duayaw Nkwanta, where he was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive, Ernest Kwarteng, Dr Boako emphasised that quality education is essential for the development of any society.

He stated that the desks will be distributed to schools in need across the municipality, addressing furniture challenges in the area.
"Education and human capital development have always been at the forefront of my priorities," Dr. Boako said. "This is why I have invested heavily in the youth of this area, sponsoring many to pursue higher education both in Ghana and abroad. Quality education is the bedrock of societal progress, and I am dedicated to ensuring that students in Tano North receive the best possible learning environment," he added.

Dr Boako reiterated his commitment, along with that of President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Bawumia, to support the development of education in the region, he assured the gathering that he would continue to work closely with the government to address the challenges faced by schools, ensuring that students can learn in a conducive environment.
He also urged the authorities to maintain the desks properly to ensure their longevity, underlining the importance of caring for the resources provided to the schools.
In a show of support for students, Dr Boako encouraged candidates currently sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) to approach their exams with confidence, assuring them of his best wishes and prayers for their success.

Mr Ekow Mensa, the Tano North Municipal Education Director, expressed deep gratitude for the timely donation. He noted that this intervention would significantly alleviate the furniture shortages in schools and improve the overall educational experience for students.
Mr Mensa also took the opportunity to commend the teachers in the municipality for their continued dedication and urged them to persist in their efforts to build a robust educational system, which he described as crucial for the future of the region.
