The Ghana Journalists Association says it is surprised at criticisms that journalists failed to ask critical questions during their interaction with the president. President Mills interacted with senior journalists and editors on his second anniversary last Friday. There have been criticisms from sections of the public, particularly from Franklin Cudjoe of IMANI Ghana and PNC General Secretary Bernard Monarh that some of the questions that were asked at the forum did not border on issues of concern to the general public. But the GJA says such criticisms are unfair. President of the GJA, Mr Ransford Tetteh, said the concerns raised amounted to insulting the intelligence of the Ghanaian journalist. He said journalists asked questions that are salient in their view and that it was wrong to try and trivialize the questions put to the president and the exercise generally. Source: Joy News/Ghana
