Glo Ghana has extended its generosity to its dealers, rewarding them with mouth-watering prizes for their contribution to the unprecedented strides the telco has made within the nine months it has been in Ghana.
The company treated its dealers from all over the country to a night of glitz, glamour and gratitude at the first “Glo Dealers’ Appreciation and Awards Night” at the weekend in Accra.
The night saw various corporate and individual dealers in Glo Ghana products walking away with five brand new cars, multimillion cedis bonus incentives, laptops and exclusive return-trips tickets to London on a special Manchester United Jet with stars like Rooney and others.
First best dealer, Mr. Mark Osei Boakye of Tom Telco in Kumasi emerged the ‘Glo Dealer of the Year 2012’, and took home a brand new 2013 Toyota Fortuner.
An obviously excited Boakye stated: “I encourage everybody in Ghana to support Glo Mobile Ghana. I have been a dealer with Glo since they launched and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. They will give you the support you need to succeed. They reward hard work as you can see. I am so excited about this prize!!! I never expected that I would win a car like this! I thank Glo.”
Pay Phone Solutions, Accra emerged the second best Dealer of Glo Mobile Ghana in 2012, and its excited Managing Director Mr. Alex Ampomah received the ceremonial key of the brand new Toyota Camry. Ten other dealers went home with laptops.
Head of Commercial Business at Glo Ghana, Augustine Mamoro spoke on a topic “The Journey So Far”, and also announced the best dealer between now and February 10, 2013, would win an exclusive trip with Manchester United players and officials from Manchester to Madrid for the Champions league match between Man United and Real Madrid. He also announced that before the end of the year, outstanding Glo dealers also stand the chance of winning brand new vehicles including Toyota Hiace, Toyota Corolla and Toyota Yaris.
Mamoro said between now and June, Glo Mobile Ghana will share extra incentives running into millions of Ghana cedis among its outstanding dealers.
The Head of Commercial Business said Glo decided to celebrate the dealers because they made the network to achieve unprecedented feats in just nine months.
“Motivated by your support, we acquired one million subscribers in 45 days, 2 million customers in 155 days, erected 1300 Base Transceiver Stations and opened 30 world class customer care centres across Ghana. We have the fastest internet service in Ghana which we will even further upgrade by April to be the best in Africa. We have the most extensive 3G coverage in Ghana,” he said.
He listed some of the unique products and services which Glo rolled out at inception as the Good Day Ghana with affordable tariffs for calls within and outside the network, free daily credits for calls, free midnight calls and other freebies. He promised that more would still come.
The Head of Business, Glo Mobile Ghana described the dealers as “backbone of the business”, and expressed the gratitude of the company’s Chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga Jnr (GCON) and the management and staff to the dealers for their support.
He assured the dealers of Glo Mobile Ghana’s continued desire to strengthen the partnership for the mutual benefit of all stakeholders.
All the dealers also pledged to continue doing business with the company.
Glo Ambassador, Pat Thomas spiced that night with a sweet medley of highlife favorites.
