The second edition of the Global Conference on Human Resources in Africa (GCHRA) is slated between August 13 and 16, 2025, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City.
The conference would be the centre stage for renowned human resource practitioners and business executives to explore how cutting-edge technology and strategic human resource (Human Resource) leadership are reshaping the workforce.
GCHRA continues to push boundaries, championing AI-driven HR solutions, workforce agility, and leadership excellence.
GCHRA 2025, themed “Leveraging Technology to Enhance Workforce Productivity and Optimise Efficiency", is being organised in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Renowned HR practitioners such as the President and Chief Executive Officer of SHRM, Johnny C. Taylor Jr., will participate in the conference, anchoring his address on Africa’s urgent workforce challenges and emerging opportunities.
In a LinkedIn post, he underscored the critical role of HR in Africa’s rapid economic evolution.

"Human beings are the most important asset of every economy. With Africa poised to become the most populated continent on the planet, investing in HR development is more critical than ever," Mr Taylor posted.
He said that Africa’s workforce is on the cusp of dramatic transformation, with its population expected to double to 2.5 billion by 2050.
He suggested that “as industries such as manufacturing, digital technology, and green energy expand, HR professionals must build talent pipelines that drive sustainable growth.”
Mr Taylor also highlighted the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) as a game-changer, set to cover 1.7 billion people and generate $6.7 trillion in spending by 2030.
The Strategic Execution and Planning Chairperson of the GCHRA, Rita Kusi, celebrated the transformation of the African continent’s human resources.
“I am truly energised by Africa’s remarkable progress, particularly in the development of its human resources,” she stated in a press statement.
She stressed that the time for Africa is now, as there has never been a more critical moment to invest in and support its workforce evolution; hence, she extended an invitation to all industry players.
“We invite businesses offering cutting-edge technology products and services to be part of this transformative journey. GCHRA25 provides an unparalleled opportunity to showcase tools and solutions to an audience of senior-level, key decision-making HR professionals from some of the world's leading companies,” she said.
