The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) has launched the 2025 Global Action Week for Education in Bodada, Oti Region, under the theme “Education in Emergencies Leave No Learner Behind.”
The event brought together education stakeholders to spotlight the pressing need to safeguard learning during crises.
It underscored the importance of resilience and equity in education systems affected by conflict, displacement, health emergencies, and climate-related disasters.
Distinguished attendees included the Municipal Chief Executive of Jasikan, Parke-Davis, the Municipal Education Director of Jasikan, Sophia Ako, Minister for Sport and Recreation, Kofi Adams, and Oti Regional Minister, John Kwadwo Gyapong, and was chaired by Jacqlinda Attabra, Oti Regional Director of Education.
The campaign emphasised resilience, equity, and long-term solutions to ensure no child is left behind.
“Education is a right, not a privilege. In times of crisis, it becomes the very anchor that sustains hope and opportunity,” a GNECC official said.
The launch signals the start of a week-long series of national events, grassroots engagements, and policy discussions aimed at reinforcing Ghana’s preparedness and response strategies for education in emergencies.
