A Hohoe Circuit Court on Monday sentenced Constance Abusuampe, unemployed, to nine months imprisonment for stealing a nanny goat, valued at GHC 50.Abusuampe pleaded guilty to stealing the goat belonging to one Ms Mercy Menokpor of Old Baika in the Hohoe District.Detective Police Chief Inspector Samuel Gbedemah, told the Court presided over by Mr Samuel Sarpong-Appiah that Ms Menokpor on August 10 realized that one of her nanny goats failed to return after their release to graze.He said after gong-gong beating by the Unit Committee , one Prosper was seen cooking some meat on August 12 and when he was questioned he mentioned Abusuampe as the one who sold the goat meat to him.Source: GNA
