President of Ghana Olympic Committee B.T. Baba has revealed to Asempa Sports that the impending GOC elections slated for Saturday, 29th October will come on as announced.
According to him, plans are far advanced for a successful organization of the elections on the day.
Finding a successor for Mr. B.T. Baba has been a topsy-turvy- one that earned Ghana an embarrassing ban from the IOC.
But it seems there are better days ahead with the comments of the President.
In an interview on Asempa fm’s Sports Morning Show on Wednesday, Mr. Baba said all is set for the election.
He said all the interested parties in the elections are ready and the elections would go on as planned.
He however acknowledged and confirmed the receipt of the forms of Hon. Adu Asare, MP for Adenta as Candidate for the presidential race.
Meanwhile, the venue for the elections has been changed to Miklin Hotel, Accra and not Miklin Hotel, Kumasi as earlier announced.
Barring any hitch the elections will come on Saturday, 29th October, 2011.
