Interim Kotoko assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey has urged fans of the club not to give up on the club ahead of the second installment of their Super 2 clash against Hearts of Oak.
This comes on the back of Kotoko’s 4-1 defeat at the hands of Ebusua Dwarfs which meant Kotoko had picked up two points out of a possible nine heading into the game.
But the former captain is confident his side can bounce back and still go ahead to win the ultimate.
"This is football. Such results are very normal. We have to put the defeat behind us. We have a lot of games coming up. We play Hearts of Oak in Kumasi on Sunday and we are going back to correct our mistakes” he told Asantekotokosc.com
“Our supporters should not abandon us. They shouldn’t give up on us. We will get back stronger. We are down today but we are not out because we are still capable to turning things around"
Ablordey is no stranger to Hearts-Kotoko derbies having featured regularly for the Porcupine Warriors in the early 2000’s.
