The Gomoa East Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have condemned a rape allegation against Mr Kingsley Ahunu Armah, the District Chief Executive.
This was contained in a statement read by Mr Kwesi Peter Essel, the Constituency Chairman, at a press conference at the party’s office in reaction to a publication in a newspaper.
The statement said investigations showed that the DCE did not invite any queen mother to a hotel and attempted to rape her and that he had been fined by the two Gomoa Traditional Councils to the tune of GH¢4,500.
“We describe the publication as frivolous, a calculated attempt by the paper and its agents to discredit the DCE whom we know as a man of good behaviour, hard working and will never indulge in such shameful act,” the statement said.
It appealed to all members of the party to remain calm and continue to contribute their quota to the development of the area.
