Highlife artiste, Dada Hafco, says that the love for “noisy” songs has aided in creating a system where good songs are ignored.
“The system is not allowing good products to excel. I go for interviews and people tell me that I should stop doing good music and go for some of the noisy ones,” Dada Hafco revealed on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.
“That is why the Nigerians are flying. They are creating a lot of superstars, when we come to Ghana we can’t boast of many, we have just a few front-liners with a lot at the back,” he told the host, Andy Dosty.
The ‘Fall Down’ singer pleaded that massive airplay is given to artistes to help create more superstars who will push Ghana forward.
According to him, this system is hindering the creation of superstars in the industry.
The Highlife artiste, born Terry Asare Boamah, stated the lack of opportunities given to other artistes to promote themselves to help reach the status of A- list artistes like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie as the cause.
Dada Hafco said that “the radio is filled with one-way music. It’s the same people’s songs everywhere.”
